Description

I visit the Los Angeles County Arboretum in Arcadia California regularly. On this occasion it was early morning when I entered. I decided to head for the “Aloe Trail” since the Aloes had recently been coming into full flower. I was lucky – the birds were busy !! Finches, Northern Mockingbirds, Western Scrub Jays, and Humming birds could all be heard. This detailed image of a female Lesser Goldfinch shows the bird in its entirety as it feeds among the Aloe flowers. I hope you like it !
