Description

There has been an invasion in the “lowlands” of California this winter of Band-tailed Pigeons. For the last several weeks running we have had a large flock of 60 to 80 birds every day. The birds are very skittish, the entire flock bolting loudly into the air at the slightest alarm. We have been watchful for the avian trichomoniasis which is plaguing these birds particularly heavily this year.
