On 17 February 2014, a fast-flying, keen-eyed Sharp-shinned Hawk flew through the trees in the backyard looking for a smaller birdie snack. Near to the water feature where the smaller birds bathe, it grabbed for its prey, missed, scraped the side of the house and was dazed for a few moments, then flew away quickly with a sharp-eye peeled for another chance of catching breakfast.
